Here's the current list of performances coming up for Trey's band (The MVPs). It will most likely change drastically in the next month, but here it is for now. Go see them! It's free, and they are great! Be sure to talk to Trey if you do go and see them. He's really down to Earth, and tolerates his fans completely. You can check the schedule again at: themvps.net/calendar.phpApril, 2006 7-Apr 5:00pm Santa Anita Racetrack Santa Anita , CA 14-Apr 9:30pm Club South Beach Palm Desert, CA 15-Apr 9:30pm Club South Beach Palm Desert, CA May, 2006 26-May 5:00pm Lake Arrowhead Village Lake Arrowhead , CA June, 2006 04-Jun 6:00pm Taste of Alhambra Alhambra , CA July, 2006 01-Jul 5:00pm Civic Center Lakewood , CA 02-Jul 5:00pm Lake Arrowhead Village Lake Arrowhead , CA 28-Jul 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA 29-Jul 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA August, 2006 18-Aug 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA 19-Aug 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA September, 2006 8-Sep 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA 9-Sep 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA October, 2006 13-Oct 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA 14-Oct 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA November, 2006 10-Nov 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA 11-Nov 10:00pm Twin Palms Pasadena, CA

Augh, why can't they come to the east coast? Nothing Newsies related ever happens in new York.

Augh, why can't they come to the east coast? Nothing Newsies related ever happens in new York. Max Casella was in Lion King in NYC. (But, of course, I was too dumb to realize this at the time.) I think he is usually in NYC. But, then, what do I know? And I share your pain. Nothing happens in Pennsylvania. *le sigh*

I actually SAW The Lion King on Broadway IN New York when he was part of the cast, but I was too young and naive to notice/care.
I'm still sad to this day. I could have met my favorite Newsie!! argh.
Oh, and there is A LOT going on in New York (Newsies wise.) Aaron was in a play like last month, and he's almost always doing something that you could go search him out in. Max lives there, and if often in plays as well. (off-broadway plays) Keep your eyes peeled, most of the Newises that I find info on where they are going to be, are Newsies who live across the country from me.... in NY.
Oh, and Max is frequently in Jersey filming episodes of The Sopranos.

Wasn't that See What I Wanna See? I plan on getting that CD sometime soon. Maybe someday I'll be able to go drive up to NYC and search them out. Or convince my parents to take me somewhere. Oh, wow, that would be amazing. And it really stinks that your nickname-sake lives on the opposite side of the US, doesn't it? (and there's nothing wrong with being a stalker)

Yeah i bought the "See what I Wanna See" CD on iTunes. its so great cuz i'm also a RENThead and Idina Menzel is in it too. I'd rather be in New York or California...there's no Newsie-ness ANYWHERE in Chicago!!! Well that I know of... although I'm going to see Marty Belafsky's comedy act this summer at the Chicago Rally! I also think that I did see Max Casella (my favorite newsie) in "The Lion King" too. but like you Jen, I was waaay too young to appreciate(sp?) it. Oh well. But you said he lives in New York right? Cuz this summer my friend and I are hopefully going to New York to meet Adam Pascal. So I just might have to drag her along to meet Max too!

Sparks: Man, you're lucky, getting to go see nifty shows and (maybe) meet Adam Pascal. I'm gonna go sulk now. CowGirl: I know. Pennsylvania is boring. (Better than Kansas, however. No offense to anyone from Kansas.) But, remember, NYC is on the east coast. And I love NYC. (What Newsie fan doesn't?)

On the topic of Trey, I saw a commercial for American Dreamz a while ago, and thought that I saw Trey Parker. But his name wasn't listed on IMDB. When I finally saw the movie, it was him. His name was in the credits. He had blonde extensions, and facial hair (haaa) and he sang about the rocket man.
Go see him in it.

I saw an ad for it in the paper, so I guess I'll have to go check it out! As for the "nothing ever happens here": try living in the midwest. The only thing I've got in my state is the Music Man. Whoop. Di. Doo. Chicago, St. Louis, and Minneapolis/St. Paul are all just about equal distances from my home, so basically, I'm stuck, even if there is something Newsie-ish around.
