Note: I don't have a MySpace so the extent of my knowledge comes from the posts I've read by people who own MySpaces. Maybe the plans have been changed through private messaging, or whatever, so this is just going off what I've read that's public. According to the MySpace group from the site's link, there's supposedly a Newsies rally that may be happening in California in 2008. Since I can't chat about it on MySpace, I thought I'd give it a shot trying to shout it out here. I know a lot of people who would DIE to come (and not just people I know personally) but we all just live too far away. For most of us, three states away is pretty far. ((Parents. Sheesh. -__-''')) Is there anyway that it could be a bit closer? Arizona, maybe? *Lol* Maybe in 2009, huh? I think it's an amazing idea, though-- the whole theatre thing! I was so excited to read all about the idea! ((Until my mom shot it down with her whole, "YOU learn how to drive and see how you like driving across country for stupid things!" speech, that is. I don't even think you can call three states away "across country", though....))

I really, REALLY want to go to a newsies rally, but I live in WI, and I'm 15 and going that far away is just out of the question. Hell, I couldn't even convince my mum to let me go down to Chicago (we only live a few hours away, plus my dad's entire side of the family lives there) for an anime convention.

No promises, but I was thinking of starting a convention one year, so maybe I can help you out~. But, if not, best luck getting to one. I've never been... Anyone know what a newsies-rally looks like? ((And don't say, "Haven't you seen the movie?!" XD))

Whoa! I'm loving this!! I'll be 16 by then... Maybe I can convince my mom to let me go if I can pay for everything myself... Geez, this is epic! Thank you so much. ^^

You lucky person, you. No way in hell I'll be able to go... I'll be 16 by then as well, over 16 and a half, but there's no way I'd ever convince my parents to let me go... specifically, no way I'd be able to pay. DX

*Hugs.* I'm sorry... Maybe try raising money through big jobs over the summer? I'm, gonna work my butt off just for this! *Nod!* I also plan not to tell my mom about it until that year since she's the kinda mom to say no to anything without a reason.

I don't have time for jobs--my summer is entirely taken up with theatre. I dunno, I'll talk to my parents about it, see how it goes.

When exactly is the rally? I kind of want to go. I probably wont because parents will say no. but it is worth a try to see...

Yeah, I was going to say the NML rally is in '09, which gives people a better time frame than summer of '08. Just more time to manage the money is all =]
...I should probably get an account here as this is the second time I've posted within a month.
