I was wondering if anyone had any new observations, like ones they haven't read off of a site, but that they found all their own? ^^ I've found a few, but I'm only about half way through the movie since I've started looking. www.neopets.com/~Marine_Major_SmokerI'd love to hear, since I've been looking for all the old ones all week. ^^

I don't have any new observations (yet--I have one project in line for next time I watch Newsies (to create a Newsies Abridged comedy fic), but after that I'm planning to watch through it specifically for new observations), but I went to your list, and wanted to say I've noticed these two, and the second one makes me die every time:
When the Delanceys show up for the first time, did anyone else notice that "Aw, aw, aw" noise?...
As Jack says, "Whatcha call 'em?" to David after TWWK, someone in the background yells, "Whatever you want to call 'em, Cowboy!

Do it! Okay, sweet. ^^ Yeah, I'm surprised those weren't on other lists. It's so weird, the things you notice random people in the background shouting. XD

Okay, I started it--I've done the first hour or so of the movie thus far, and two of the special features. I'm going to post the first half sometime tomorrow, if I have time, and right now I'm gonna post the special features ones. Note: these are exactly as I wrote them while watching the movie, so they might not make much sense, and they might be wonky and stuff. Also--especially in the special features one--a lot of them are totally random, and a lot of them involve how attractive... certain people are.
-Newsies sounds so hokey when people describe it as a story about hope and so on. -Michael Finnell (sp) and Alan Menken are really ugly. -Denton's double chin freaks me out. -In the special features, Christian says that another main story in Newsies is that of the relationship between Jack and David--JAVID SLASH IS SO TOTALLY CANON! -I love how Aaron's voice got deeper! It's so cute! -WTF, Christian's chewing a rope held by Kevin Stea in the background of this part of the "see all about it" feature... -When Peggy tells them all to open their mouths, Max doesn't. -Les is a little late (in the special feature--I didn't notice in the movie) for the arm throw on 'feel the fire' of TWWK -When Kenny says, "you're not a dancer until you've had your first fall" or whatever, Trey mimics Christian falling before he helps him up. -When Kenny and the ginger are playing handslap, the ginger sticks his tongue out every time. -ZOMG basketball--Itey's hair! -On 'smile as sweet as butter', that part, Christian looks kinda pissed when the attention is on someone other than him. -Snoddy reminds me of the guy who played Cedric. -Trey's got a dynamite smile. -The first newsie to get a chalk mark is CUTE!
Yeah, so, that's all for now--the ones for the actual movie are much more relevant.

Ah, now I have to go and rent the DVD to watch the special features again! XD Some of them are on YouTube, though. ^^ I see a few of them! I'll rent the DVD soon. =3
These are funny. XD
Okie-dokie! Can't wait. ^^

Okay, here are the ones from the first half of the movie. I apologize if there's anything unclear about it, like when something is or whatever--feel free to ask if something's unclear. And they're a little out of order, especially at the beginning. And again, most of them are exactly as I wrote them during the movie. And I didn't go through to make sure none of them have already been said, so sorry if there're any repeats.
-When Bumlets and... Skittery? are swordfighting on the stairs in CTB, someone looks out the window at them. -In CTB, right after they come around the corner (before it cuts to the swordfight on the stairs) there's a dude all in white... is he -sweeping- the street?! -Someone in the back left of the pelvic thrust ("we need a good assassination", not the other one) jerks their whole body and kicks a leg, too. I can't tell if it's a character with a name or not. -Marty's got nice hands. -During Jack's fight w/ the Delanceys (CTB), directly before the "go get 'em cowboy / you've got 'em now boy" part with Jack climbing the gate, the guy next to Jake seems genuinely scared. -Denton's REALLY sweaty in KONY -When Jack writes 'STRIKE', it looks like people are dancing behind the windows above him. -Mush freakin' has no armpit hair! I realise this isn't exactly an observation, but I go 'wtf' about it EVERY time. -When Jack first turns over before CTB, there's evidence of maybe a few lurkers on his chin...? -Whoa, the people behind Mush @ "try bottle alley or the harbor" (CTB) are doing CHOREOGRAPHED moves! I'd never noticed that before! -Boots sure is intent on pumping that water... (CTB) -Specs has a verrrry nice chest... -D'awwww, Dutchy puts the towel back in his hair after he dries it! (CTB) -Right after the Delanceys appear in CTB, Boots hugs Snipeshooter! -When Race says "I fear the sewer may have backed up in the night!" (CTB), Jack almost forgets to laugh. -Right before "Play you again tomorrow, Cowboy," (at the distribution center after CTB) Oscar pushes Crutchy against the wall. -When Weasel's talking about his name ("That's Mr. Weisel to you"), Morris is just blanking out. Dunno why, but it amuses me greatly. -In the shot w/ "Sure you do, every newsie wants more papes," Kid in Orange is on someone's shoulders in the background, but in the next shot, he's gone. -While they're walking out of the World circulation place, Snoddy pushes Mush's head down. -Pulitzer said "When I created the World...", but according to research I did a while back, he actually bought it, not created it. -Somebody at the back of the boxing scene appears to be shaking celery at the boxers...? -Jack is wayyyy too happy in the background when Medda's talking to Les. -Les is totally pretending to smoke that licorice after "Lovey Dovey Baby"--I'm tellin' ya, hero worship! -Jack looks so awkward before getting introduced to David's family, it's adorable! -David's expressions after Les starts singing in bed are freaking HILARIOUS! He looks demonic/pissed when he looks over his shoulder, and the looks he gets when Esther starts asking about it is frickin' CLASSIC. -The guy with the rope WAS holding on to the horse till Jack jumped on (Santa Fe)! -I love how there's a random Indian with the cowboys (when Jack jumps on the horse). -The guy behind Boots when Skitts's saying the price jack-up will bust him is REALLY ugly. -David bought papes directly after the jack-up, as did Bum and Itey... but the papes are magically gone before they get to the Greeley (sp) statue. -"They can't treat us like we don't exist"--Dutchy and them act like they can't hear/understand Davey, but a guy behind them nods and is like "yeahhhh" -"That this ain't no game" (TWWK)--some newsie-extra runs off around the corner -Race at "Pulitzer may own the world but he don't own us" has a bit of an o-face. -The whip motions (TWWK) are HAWT! -Jack's voice cracks in Tibby's when he's saying 'can't" of "you can't see Mr. Pulitzer, nobody sees Mr. Pulitzer." -Jack's expressions on "Jacky-boy's newsies is playin' like they'se goin' on strike" are so cute! -Dave and Mush sure touch a lot... -Whoa, Dutch does a pirouette! (STD) -When Dave's like "Jack!" and Jack's like "It's the bulls!" (@ the newspaper-tearing scene after STD), they just keep touching each others chests. That's not normal. Unless, of course, they're a couple... *cackles* -One of the boys at the Refuge reminds me of a girl I know.
That's all for now. You'll probably have to wait till this coming weekend for more, but there will be more.

Sweet! I'll look for these when I watch it today!! I added more to the end of my list, too. ^^ ----- Edit: I went through and saw most of those! How cute. X3 The one I have recorded isn't wide-screen, so I couldn't get a few of them. DX

i have comments on a few of your new ones:
When Spot's stunt man swung down to Jack (when the Brooklyn boys come), he's clearly much older, more muscular (not that Spot isn't~!), and has a lot of arm hair... I'm pretty sure that wasn't a stuntman--in the special features, someone (I'm pretty sure it was Kenny) said the newsies did all their own stunts. And Spot had pretty muscular arms regularly, but they would stand out extra-well with that much weight depending on them, giving them the appearance of being more muscular.
Where did that cape for Denton come from? Dutchy gets it--I think off a table or something.
Just an observation, but when Snyder comes into the lodging house and Swifty stops Jack from coming in, Swifty has some paint on the back of his hand. That bothers me every single freaking time I watch the movie! I just want to take some orange goop (WITH PUMICE) and scrub-a-dub-dub his hand off!
And who's laugh is that after Racetrack's joke-- you know, the one that sounds like a choking goose? I've always thought that was Race himself... you mean the part where he looks like he's grabbing his balls?

I think he said something like they wanted to, but I know Mr. Bale didn't do the hanging from the roof from behind him because he was upset about not getting to do it... I'll remove that one jut in case, though. ^^
I'll have to go back and see if there's any red cloths around in the background... Hm...
XD Hehehe~!
Oh, gosh. XD No, when he says, "But he put an egg in his shoe and... beat it."

I think I kind of assumed Jack (but that has no bearing on reality, of course).

Heh-heh. X3~
About that cape thing, there's a slight chance that it was the curtains on the lower half of the windows in Tibby's, but those may be too short... If not, what the heck-- it's a movie! X3

At the very end of the movie, when all of the newsies and random people are parading against Pulitzer, if you look at the signs there is one for women's rights. Rather funny, but WAY at the end of the movie.

By the way, you were totally right about the stunt guy. I watched it last night and paid special attention to him--no way Spot's arms are that muscular, hairy, and manly-looking.

I've been wondering what happen to Spot's hat during KONY. It just disappears, unless I didn't see him take it off.
